If I Only Had A Brain

An evaluation of The Wizard of Oz as a platform, and transforming the original story and film into an animation depicting Oz as an authoritative regime. The Scarecrow, while possessing autonomy, constantly laments his absence of a brain despite the fact that he solves the most problems for his compatriots. When he finally receives his brain from the Great and Powerful Oz, he loses all semblance of individuality. Illustrated in ink and animated in After Effects.

("If I Only Had a Brain" is by Harold Arlen and Yip Harburg and performed by Ray Bolger and Judy Garland, 1939)
